Our Voluntary Pre-K program is staffed with certified teachers and highly-qualified staff. Each classroom is provided one teacher and one teacher assistant. The maximum class size is 20. Our Pre-K program follows the regular daily school calendar, and transportation is provided. The Voluntary Pre-K program uses research-based educational curriculum, aligned with the Tennessee Early Childhood Education-Early Learning Developmental Standards.

Application Process:

Before a child can be admitted to one of the HCS' Pre-K classrooms, parents must provide the following:

• Child’s certified birth certificate
• Child’s social security card
• 2 Proofs of residence (For more information see: Proofs of Residence)
• Proof of income (Pay check stub, social security check, etc.)
